Its members include representatives of the main professional federations and associations, relevant public administrations (eg: Banque de France, Ministry of Economy), and representatives from local authorities. The Observatory produces an Annual Report

2. EU OBSERVATORY OF THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR (ECSO)

Late payment is a serious issue for the Construction Sector. In April 2020, the ECSO’s Analytical Report provided an in-depth assessment of the causes and impacts of payment delays for the sector.

3. MONITORING UNFAIR TRADING PRACTICES IN THE AGRO-FOOD SECTOR

Directive 2019/633/EU deals with B2B unfair trading practices (UTPs) in the agricultural and food supply chain. Late Payment is one of the prohibited practices under this Directive. To assess the effectiveness of measures taken by Member States in the context of the transposition of the Directive, the Commission will carry out annual surveys, starting with a baseline scenario aimed at capturing the state of play before the new national measures are implemented
